E-Comm, Emergency Communications for Southwest British Columbia Incorporated, is committed to providing effective and efficient emergency communication services in the interest of public safety and public service. We do this by bringing together many aspects of government service for communication planning and resource sharing.

The primary purpose of E-Comm is to supply emergency communications and related services for public safety and public service to:

• Municipalities
• Regional districts
• Provincial government
• Federal government
• Government agencies

The main responsibilities of E-Comm are:

• Maintaining the wide-area radio system for police, fire and ambulance services
• Maintaining a post-disaster facility
• Operating the regional 9-1-1 call centre
• Providing dispatch services for various police and fire departments
