Action Plan
Following the Province’s Independent Review of E-Comm conducted by EY, E-Comm has developed a prioritized action plan to implement the review’s recommendations in collaboration with our partners, with a focus on rebuilding trust and strengthening our role as a client-centric leader in public safety communications.

Next Generation 9-1-1
Next Generation 9-1-1 is an internet-protocol based, digital network which will replace the current analog system for 9-1-1. As the largest public safety answering point in the province, E-Comm is overseeing the implementation of Next Generation 9-1-1 on behalf of the 25 regional districts it serves, along with its police and fire call-taking and dispatch partners.

Transformation Plan
In November 2022, the E-Comm Board of Directors approved a new transformation plan and budget. The multi-year plan addresses five strategic pillars: Operations, People and Culture, Governance and Stakeholders, Corporate Foundation, and NG9-1-1.
